New Life Christian School History

New Life Christian School is an exciting first for our community. In January 1998 several local pastors began praying about a new Christian school for the area. They felt God leading them to combine two excellent existing Christian schools, North Coast Community Christian School and Christian Life School.

The result was New Life Christian School, a non-denominational community Christian school overseen by an alliance of co-operating pastors from local evangelical churches.

New Life Christian School Spiritual Emphasis

Students are encouraged to find their place in ministry and given opportunity to minister in chapel and at various times throughout the school year. Of our high school graduates, figures show that over 90% are in active ministry in the churches they attend as adults. Stressing a Bible Integrated Program with strong Academics

New Life Christian School offers classes for for Preschool through grade twelve. Classes are small and individual teachers are qualified for their positions and are prayerfully and carefully selected.

Stanford Achievement Tests are administered in the Spring of each year. In general students perform very well in comparison to the national norms.

Chapel Services are held weekly. Devotions are held daily.

New Life Christian School Faith Statement

... in the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:21).

...there is one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).

... in the deity of Christ (John 13:33), in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26), in His miracles (John 2:11), in His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9), in His bodily resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), in His future return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).

... in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith are we saved (John 3:16-21; John 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)

... in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).

... in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:20-28).

… in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).

Doctrines

Our objective is not to emphasize any one denomination, but to promote the fundamental truths of the Bible. Our goal is the promotion of the "Word of God" and not a denomination.

The Bible is the core of our teaching and the Christian philosophy permeates every phase of the school. The primary focus is upon assisting parents in training young people to live lives which glorify God.

New Life Christian School Mission Statement

Our mission is to work with the home and church to provide a Christ-centered spiritual, academic, and physical foundation in a safe, nurturing environment to produce godly men and women who are a transforming influence in their world.

Specifically, the mission of New Life Christian School is to provide a sound academic education integrated with a Christian view of God and the world based upon the authoritative and infallible Word of God. This educational program is designed for children from preschool through grade twelve whose parents are committed to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible is specific in stating the principles which underlie Christian education. The apostle Paul presented a comprehensive principle when he wrote of Christ, "For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible, and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (Colossians 1:16-17)." The Gospel of John states, "Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made (John 1:3)."

Functioning as an extension of the Christian home, NLCS supports parents who believe God has led them to put their children in our school based upon Deuteronomy 6:7-8. Because the Christian approach to learning differs significantly from the secular viewpoint, NLCS offers a curriculum from a God-centered view of life. This view holds that God's truth is the standard for all truth. The curriculum taught by a qualified Christian faculty, allows parents to provide their children with academic instruction consistent with the Christ-centered teaching at home and at church.
